Iran’s Revolutionary Guards on Monday said they carried out coordinated strikes against targets in Bahrain and Oman, claiming to have hit US military facilities in Bahrain and destroyed key radar systems in Oman.
According to a statement published by the Guards’ Sepah news outlet, the operation targeted US military infrastructure in Juffair, Bahrain, where it alleged fires had broken out following the attack.
The statement also claimed that the Guards’ naval forces destroyed a long-range airborne FPS radar and a ship-detection radar system in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Iranian military did not provide independent evidence to support its claims, and there was no immediate confirmation from authorities in Bahrain, Oman, or the United States regarding the reported strikes.
The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region, with concerns growing over the potential for further escalation involving Iran, the United States, and their regional allies.
