Mother of revered Fuji Music Legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1), Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe has passed on at the ripe age of 105, Apples Bite Magazine reports.
This comes shortly after the death of his former wife, Yewande Marshal, who passed away in Canada after a brief illness.
Yewande Marshal, who was living in Canada at the time of her death, was reportedly receiving treatment at a hospital in Toronto before her passing in mid-January 2025. She was known to have maintained a cordial relationship with the musician even after their separation.
The loss of both his former wife and mother in close succession has cast a shadow over the household of the Mayegun of Yorubaland. While still processing the grief of losing Yewande, the music maestro now faces the departure of his centenarian mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe.
