Ex-Liverpool midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, has begged the Reds not to make the mistake of not signing Real Madrid youngster, Arda Guler.
Speaking recently to the press during an interview, Hamann revealed that Guler should be brought in this summer because he can be a huge signing for Liverpool in the future.
According to him, the Reds will be making a big mistake if the youngster is overlooked during the next transfer window, especially if Real Madrid makes the Turkey international available for sale.
Hamann said that Arda must be fuming at the moment due to the very few minutes he has been afforded this season under Carlo Ancelotti, therefore, he’ll most likely take any chance he gets to play more games elsewhere.
Comparing the youngster to Isak, Dietmar disclosed that the Newcastle striker’s Borussia Dortmund move at 17 also came very early, but he eventually seized the opportunity to play in England, and the rest is now history.
“I think Liverpool ending their interest in Arda Guler would be a mistake because we’ve seen young players leave big clubs and get a new lease of life.
Alexander Isak was at Borussia Dortmund when he was 17 and it came too early, Guler went to Real Madrid and I think he is a huge talent who doesn’t get enough playing time because of the competition,” he said.
Dietmar then warned that LFC ending their interest in the young midfielder would be an error that could lead to regrets in the future, since it is very evident that Guler’s huge footballing potential would most likely be fulfilled in the coming years.
“Guler is the type of player who has huge potential, if you can find a role for him I think he will grow in confidence, he could be a huge player in the future and why not for Liverpool,” he added.
Guler has been attracting lots of interest from the Bundesliga and the Serie A, with both Milan clubs reportedly keeping a keen eye on his situation in the Spanish capital.
