Ex-Manchester United striker, Louis Saha has said that Victor Osimhen would be a perfect striker signing for MUFC this summer.
He believes the Nigerian striker could be a transformative signing for the Red Devils ahead of next season because he has the type of character needed to deliver under pressure.
According to him, not only does Osimhen have the required character to thrive on the biggest of stages, he is talented enough to score enough goals as well, so he doesn’t expect INEOS to be going for anyone else.
Saha revealed that being a champion in Italy with Napoli makes the Galatasaray finisher the kind of winner needed to take the Red Devils to the next level.
“I really like Victor Osimhen. He’s definitely got the character, he’s got the quality. He’s also got good European pedigree: he was a success in France, he was a champion in Italy with Napoli and he’s gone to Turkey with Galatasaray and been brilliant, a move that he probably didn’t want, let’s be honest.
“He’s scored goals at every level. He’s got Champions League experience, and further more, he’s got the type of personality and charisma that this United squad could really benefit from,” he said.
Saha disclosed that firing Napoli to their first league title in 33 years was no joke, and it only proved that Victor is the perfect man to bring Manchester United back from the dead as well.
“I think he would be a transformational signing for Manchester United. If you think about the pressure that he was under at Napoli, firing the club to its first title in 33 years, then he’s the perfect man to lead the line for Manchester United. I think he would have a huge impact at United. I would love to see the club hierarchy move for him, I think he is exactly what we need,” Saha added.
The latest reports have confirmed that Osimhen would cost any buying club around £50 million ($67m), and several tabloids keep insisting that MUFC has already agreed personal terms with the Nigerian striker.
