Dr. Mary Alile Idele’s arrival on American soil marks yet another bold stride in a career defined by inclusive governance, strategic global partnering, and the steady mobilisation of Nigerians abroad towards nation-building and sustainable development. For a woman who has become synonymous with grassroots mobilisation and women’s advancement within the ruling party, this transatlantic outing is being read in political circles as a fresh demonstration of the reach and ambition of the Renewed Hope movement beyond Nigeria’s shores.
The first of her two major engagements comes under the banner of the APC USA Diaspora Women’s Wing Initiative, which will host a Women Leadership and Diplomacy Conference themed “Powering the Renewed Hope Agenda Through Global Partnerships.” The conference is scheduled for Thursday, 7th August 2026, running from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Eastern Time, at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations in New York, with provision for virtual participation via Zoom for those unable to attend in person.

The conference is being delivered in collaboration with the Office of the Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Diaspora Coordination and Mobilisation, alongside the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, underscoring the scale of institutional backing behind the initiative.
From New York, the torch moves south to Texas for the second major engagement, the historic inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) USA Chapter, themed “Renewed Hope in Action: Building the Nation From Diaspora to Development.” The inauguration will formally launch a dynamic platform dedicated to mobilising patriotic Nigerians across the United States in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda, promoting national unity, strengthening grassroots engagement, and channelling diaspora energy into Nigeria’s development. The event is billed to hold on Sunday, 9th August 2026, at 4:00pm Central Time, at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, 218 Promenade Way, Sugar Land, TX 77479, and is expected to bring together APC faithful, community leaders, professionals, youth, women, and friends of Nigeria committed to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
