22-year-old content creator Munachimso Brian Nwana has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for visiting the most fast-food restaurants in 24 hours. Brian surpassed the previous record of 100 visits, held by American YouTuber Airrack, by visiting an impressive 150 restaurants.
Before Airrack, the record was held by TikTok stars Nick DiGiovanni and the late Lynn “Lynja” Davis, both of whom set their records in New York City. Unlike the previous attempts, Brian’s record-breaking journey took place in Abuja, Nigeria. He highlighted that the dense clusters of restaurants and extensive public transportation in New York made his attempt in Abuja more challenging due to its limited public transport options.
Remarkably, Brian completed his entire route on foot, covering over 25 kilometers. He began his journey in the Gwarinpa residential area and concluded it in the city center. Starting at 5 p.m., Brian took a nine-hour break to sleep from midnight to 9 a.m. before resuming and completing his attempt by 5 p.m. the following day.
To qualify for the record, Brian was required to purchase and consume at least one food or drink item at each restaurant, with at least 75% of the orders consisting of food. He sampled food from nearly every restaurant he visited, consuming enough to last a week. Any leftover food was shared with his team and the public, making his record-setting journey not just a personal achievement but a communal celebration as well.
