Otunba Senator (Engr.) Justus Olugbenga Daniel, FNSE, FAEng, the Aare Ajibosin of Owu Kingdom, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, a prominent Ogun State indigene, recently conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Gbademu of the ancient Owu Kingdom.
The conferment was performed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, in a ceremony that has continued to draw commendation from stakeholders across the state.
In a letter of congratulations personally signed and issued, Otunba Senator Gbenga Daniel described the honor as a fitting recognition of Hon. Adebutu’s distinguished contributions, sterling character, and unwavering commitment to the development of the Owu people. He noted that the title crowns a career already marked by service to the community and the wider Ogun State.
Speaking alongside his wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel, the former Ogun State governor expressed deep confidence that the new Gbademu would bring the same passion, wisdom and dedication that has defined his public life to this fresh traditional responsibility, while continuing to champion unity, progress and the enduring values of Owu Kingdom.
The couple also extended felicitations to Hon. Adebutu’s wife, Yeye Adenike Omolola Adebutu, who was conferred alongside her husband as Yeye Gbademu, a dual honor that underscores the family’s standing within the kingdom.
Otunba Senator Daniel expressed the hope that the conferment would mark the beginning of an even greater chapter of service and impact for the couple, pledging his continued support and solidarity as they settle into their new traditional roles.
The chieftaincy conferment adds to a growing list of honours within Owu Kingdom this year, as the traditional institution continues to recognise sons and daughters of the land whose achievements have brought pride to the ancient kingdom and to Ogun State at large.
