PDP Chairmanship: Eyitayo Jegede Discards Claims He’s Contesting Position

Former Ondo Gubernatorial Aspirant Eyitayo Jegede has refuted claims, that, he is running for office as PDP Chairman, following an earlier report by Applesbite magazine.

In a statement issued by Oluseye Adegboye, Eyitayo’s personal assistant, the report was construed as a mere assumption.

The statement reads;

“Our attention has been drawn to newspaper and social media reports linking Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN to the contest for the National Chairmanship position of the PDP in the scheduled National Convention slated for October.

“These are mere assumptions.

“For the records and to date, neither had such declaration been made nor intention for same made known.

“Thank you,” the state concluded.
