Sinatra’s Place, a renowned lifestyle and entertainment hub, is gearing up to host the first-ever edition of the Computer Village Awards (CVA) on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
The brainchild of S&G Concept and MetroNews Nigeria, the awards aim to recognize and reward outstanding contributors within the bustling Lagos Computer Village, situated in Ikeja, Lagos. This event is slated to become an annual celebration.
Metronews Publisher, Otunba Femi Davies, shared insights into the purpose of CVA, stating, “CVA is a concept crafted to acknowledge individuals and organizations that have excelled in the industry over the past year.”
He emphasized the significance of Lagos Computer Village as Nigeria’s tech and gadget hub, highlighting the long-overdue need for an award to inspire growth and foster healthy competition in the industry.
Davies outlined the 24 award categories for the inaugural edition, covering various individuals and businesses operating across diverse market sectors. The selection process involves a jury comprised of respected journalists, bankers, customers, and industry stakeholders to ensure impartiality.
The awards, organized by MetroNews and Abinibi Events Cottage, will not only recognize tech and financial achievements but also highlight social accomplishments. The event will feature a captivating performance by Nigerian cross-over music star, SB.
