Death is never the last word in the life of a man. When a man leaves this world – be he righteous or unrighteous – he leaves something behind in the world. He may leave something that will grow and spread like a cancer or a poison, or he may leave something like the fragrance of perfume or a blossom of beauty that permeates the atmosphere’s with blessing. – James Moffat.
It is very unlike me, to express grief when anyone passes away, especially when I am convinced that the departed while on earth lived a life worthy of a sanctified believer. This is so, because, I take solace in Philippians 3:20-21 that teaches us that,” …our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” NIV.
However, my emotions betrayed me when the news of the passing unto glory of my beloved Friend and Brother, Presiding Bishop of Love Aglow Ministry, and Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Lagos, Late Bishop (Dr.) Olusola Rafael Ore reached me on Monday, October 27, the next day after he slept in the Lord.
For someone so full of life, gusto, enthusiasm and an undying passion for kingdom advancement like Bishop Ore, the news indeed came to me as a shock. Like most deaths, his passing was completely unforeseen.
Highly distinguished in his ways, Late Bishop Ore was by every standard an apostle of faith, a legend of purpose and a genuine unifier of the body of Christ.
While the body of Christ and his family take solace in the assurance that Bishop Ore had departed to greater glory, I make bold to say he will be sorely missed; especially by his family, kingdom associates and his array followers both in his native country Nigeria and all over the world. He was indeed a man of vast influence.
I have known Bishop Ore for over 20 years, but we were especially inseparable in the last two years. We were everywhere together!
Everyone close to Late Bishop Ore will attest to enjoying warmth and genuine friendship with him. He was one to give you spiritual stimulation, emotional invigoration and intellectual challenge.
He was kind hearted, unprejudiced, selfless, supportive and a visionary in every sense of the word.
When he talks, he speaks frankly; when he laughs, he does so heartily.
Bishop Ore obeyed the latter Matthew 5 vs 16 where our Lord Jesus admonished us to let our lights shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our father in heaven.
He was an angel of light that illuminated his world with his infectious laughter. I dare to say most of us have a lot to learn from the exemplary life that Late Bishop Ore led while he was with us.
Although, we will miss him, however, we will take comfort in the assurance that he is with his creator, where we also shall return someday to reunite with other saints.
We love you beloved. Continue to Rest.
