President Bola Tinubu has commended members of Nigeria’s security agencies for their dedication and sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of criminality across the country.
In a personally signed message released on Monday, the President described security personnel as the protective barrier between law-abiding citizens and individuals determined to undermine the nation’s peace and stability.
Tinubu praised the resilience and bravery of military personnel, police officers, intelligence operatives, and other security agents serving in difficult and dangerous environments across Nigeria. He acknowledged the challenges they face daily and expressed appreciation for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
According to the President, security forces continue to play a vital role in ensuring that Nigerians can live, work, worship, farm, and conduct business without fear.
He noted that the battle against insecurity has come at a significant cost, with many officers making personal sacrifices in the line of duty. Despite the difficulties, Tinubu said the government remains committed to supporting security operations and strengthening efforts to restore peace nationwide.
The President also paid tribute to security personnel who lost their lives while defending the country, describing them as heroes whose sacrifices would never be forgotten.
Tinubu further acknowledged the families of security operatives, recognizing the emotional and personal burdens they bear due to the demands of service.
Reaffirming his administration’s determination to tackle insecurity, the President declared that Nigeria would not bow to threats from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or violent extremist groups.
He stressed that defeating insecurity is not solely the responsibility of security agencies, urging citizens to support ongoing operations by providing credible and timely information to relevant authorities.
The President encouraged Nigerians to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies whenever suspicious activities are observed, emphasizing that collective action is essential to winning the fight against crime.
Tinubu concluded by expressing gratitude to all frontline personnel for their courage, vigilance, and dedication, while praying for their safety as they continue to protect the nation.
