President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a four-week working vacation in Europe.
His aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 6:22 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Tinubu left Abuja for London on August 30 and spent about a week there before travelling to Paris, France. The Presidency later extended the trip by a few days, having initially announced a three-week working vacation.
While in Paris, the President met French President Emmanuel Macron at a private dinner. He also held talks with business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group.
Tinubu is expected to stay in Lagos for activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1. The Presidency said he would also attend to official engagements in the city before returning to Abuja.
