Chevron Nigeria Limited has been honoured with the Community Partnership Award by Gbaramatu Voice International. The honour was bestowed on the popular oil company during the Niger Delta Night of Honour, held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, to celebrate the media organisation’s 10th anniversary.
The award was presented by the Chairman of the Editorial Board of Gbaramatu Voice International, Prof. Tosan Blessing Harriman, and received on behalf of Chevron by Victor Anyaegbudike, Manager, Communications, Chevron Nigeria and Mid-Africa Region.
Presenting the award, Prof. Tosan hailed Chevron’s dedication to fostering partnerships with community stakeholders, stating that its positive impact on socio-economic development in the Niger Delta is well appreciated.
He commended the company for preserving the region’s cultural diversity and supporting development journalism.
Accepting the plaque, Mr. Victor congratulated Gbaramatu Voice International on its milestone anniversary, while reiterating Chevron’s commitment to contributing to national growth.
He reaffirmed that the company will keep making human investments to deliver long-term, transformative returns.

Victor further applauded the media for its vital role in Nigeria’s development as a nation, stressing that the press deserves praise for shaping public perception of the oil and gas industry.
“As members of the fourth estate of the realm, media practitioners continue to play a vital role as agenda-setters and opinion moulders in society,” he added.
