Anthony Joshua Eyes Ring Return Ahead of Prenga Fight Amid Personal Tragedy

Anthony Joshua Eyes Ring Return Ahead of Prenga Fight Amid Personal Tragedy

**Headline:** Insecurity: Military Can Track Bandits Like Ordinary Citizens – Buratai Calls for Stronger Capacity Building Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (retd.), has expressed confidence in the ability of Nigeria’s security agencies to track down bandits, insisting that if they can locate ordinary citizens and social media users, they should also be able to trace criminal elements. Buratai made the remarks during an interview on TVC, amid growing public concern over recent abductions, including the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State, where a teacher was reportedly killed by the abductors. According to him, the security challenges facing the country may not necessarily be about lack of capacity alone, but also point to the need for improved training, recruitment, and overall strengthening of the system. “I don’t believe security agencies cannot locate bandits if they can locate ordinary citizens and social media influencers,” he said. He added that more personnel are needed across the security architecture, stressing the importance of continuous recruitment and retraining of soldiers and police officers to improve operational effectiveness. “We need more troops, more operatives, more policemen recruited, trained and retrained,” Buratai stated. Meanwhile, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has alleged that the recent kidnapping incident in Oyo State may have been politically motivated, suggesting it could have been staged to discredit or blackmail the government. Fayose made the claim during an interview on Channels Television, where he also questioned the timing of the incident and raised concerns about possible political undertones. He further suggested that the incident might be linked to efforts aimed at undermining President Bola Tinubu’s administration, though his comments remain allegations and have not been substantiated.

To find a job online has become the go-to strategy for many job seekers due to the convenience and accessibility it offers. However, the vast number of job boards, company websites, and networking platforms can make the process overwhelming. If you’re looking for the best and fastest way to find a job online, several platforms stand out based on their reach, user experience, and effectiveness.

1. LinkedIn: The Professional Network Giant

LinkedIn is widely regarded as one of the most effective platforms for finding a job online and job hunting generally, particularly for professionals seeking roles in white-collar industries. With over 930 million users globally, LinkedIn offers a vast network of professionals, recruiters, and companies actively looking for talent.

  • Networking Opportunities: LinkedIn is not just a job board; it’s a professional network where you can connect directly with recruiters, industry leaders, and potential employers. The platform allows you to showcase your skills, experience, and achievements, making it easier for recruiters to find you.
  • Job Listings: LinkedIn’s job search feature allows you to filter job listings based on location, industry, experience level, and more. The platform also offers “Easy Apply” options, enabling you to apply for jobs with just a few clicks.
  • Recruiter Engagement: Many recruiters use LinkedIn to search for candidates, even before posting jobs publicly. By maintaining an up-to-date profile and actively engaging with content, you increase your chances of being noticed.

2. Indeed: The Job Aggregator

Indeed is one of the largest job search engines globally, aggregating job listings from thousands of websites, including company career pages, job boards, and staffing agencies.

  • Comprehensive Job Search: Indeed offers a vast range of job opportunities across various industries and experience levels. You can search for jobs by keyword, location, salary, and job type (e.g., full-time, part-time, remote).
  • Company Reviews and Salaries: Indeed provides company reviews from current and former employees, as well as salary information, which can help you make informed decisions about where to apply.
  • Resume Upload and Alerts: By uploading your resume to Indeed, you can allow recruiters to find you. Additionally, you can set up job alerts to receive notifications about new opportunities that match your criteria.

3. Glassdoor: Insights and Opportunities

Glassdoor is known for its extensive database of company reviews, salary reports, and interview insights, making it a valuable resource for job seekers. While it also functions as a job board, its unique strength lies in the transparency it offers about companies.

  • Company Research: Before applying for a job, you can use Glassdoor to research potential employers, read reviews from employees, and understand the company culture.
  • Salary Insights: Glassdoor provides detailed salary reports that can help you negotiate better offers or decide if a job is financially viable for you.
  • Job Listings: Glassdoor aggregates job listings from various sources, and like Indeed, allows you to filter and apply directly through the platform.

4. ZipRecruiter: AI-Powered Job Matching

ZipRecruiter uses advanced algorithms to match job seekers with opportunities based on their skills, experience, and preferences.

  • Personalized Job Matches: ZipRecruiter’s AI-powered system learns from your profile and application history to send you tailored job matches, improving your chances of finding a good fit quickly.
  • One-Click Apply: The platform offers a “One-Click Apply” feature, which simplifies the application process, allowing you to apply to multiple jobs efficiently.
  • Recruiter Outreach: Recruiters can also reach out to you directly if your profile matches what they’re looking for, making it a proactive job search tool.

5. Specialized Job Boards

In addition to the general job boards mentioned above, specialized job boards cater to specific industries or job types. For example:

  • Tech Jobs: Platforms like Stack Overflow and GitHub Jobs are excellent for software developers and IT professionals.
  • Creative Roles: Behance and Dribbble are popular among designers and creative professionals, offering job listings alongside portfolio showcases.
  • Remote Jobs: Websites like Remote.co and We Work Remotely are dedicated to remote job opportunities, which have become increasingly popular.

To find a job online, one requires a strategic approach, utilizing platforms that align with your career goals and industry. LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, and specialized job boards each offer unique benefits that can accelerate your job search. By leveraging these tools effectively, you can increase your visibility to potential employers and land a job faster. Remember, the key to success lies in maintaining an updated profile, applying promptly, and continuously expanding your professional network.
