67TH GRAMMY AWARD: Cardi B, Others Turn Up the Volume on Red Carpet Fashion

At the 2025 Grammys Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Chappel Roan and Sabrina Carpenter turned up the volume, truly rocking the red carpet at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena for music’s biggest night.

This ain’t Texas, ain’t no hold ’em, so the stars at the 2025 Grammy Awards laid their cards down, down, down, down.

In other words, music’s biggest names like Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Kelsea Ballerini and Cardi B rocked the red carpet outside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles as they turned up for the recording industry’s most star-studded night Feb. 2.

Cardi liked it like that in a dramtically feathered Roberto Cavalli dress, Miley Cyrus earned her flowers in a cut-out Saint Lauren and Taylor Swift potentially gave a nod to the guy on the Chiefs in a custom red sequin corseted Vivienne Westwood mini.

Showing that fashionistas can cry too, Kelsea opted for a Tamara Ralph couture number made almost entirely of bugle beads. “You can imagine how comfortable that is to her,” E! News’ Zanna Roberts Rossi joked on Live From E!: Grammys. “So she came in a sprinter. She said, I am not sitting down in this tonight. She will be having a change later.”

Up for six awards, Chappel Roan went vintage, selecting an appropriately over-the-top 2003 archival Jean Paul Gaultier gown. Her stylist Genesis Webb explained “that she’s always looking for something that’s bigger and campier, because that’s what Chappel wants,” Zanna noted of the piece that features a Degas painting and endless layers of tulle.

So pumped when she received the dress, Zanna added, Chappel’s stylist “basically ended up sleeping with it in her room because she was so scared for its welfare. She literally slept with this baby in her room.”

Four-time nominee St. Vincent similarly threw it back with a custom Giorgio Armani blazer with satin mini shorts.

“It’s an Armani capsule piece that was from ‘91 that one of my favorite 90s supermodels, Christy Turlington, wore,” the musician explained to Wells Adams on Live From E!: Grammys of the all-black look she paired with Cartier jewels. “And so we had it remade.”

Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth year in a row, the 2025 telecast was reimagined in the wake of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles with the aim of raising funds to support relief efforts and aid music professionals impacted by the destructive blaze.

But it still featured the faces—and voices—that fans of pop, R&B, rap, rock and country know and love. Beyoncé unsurprisingly held all the cards when it came to the nominations for this year’s ceremony, with her Cowboy Carter earning a stunning 11 nods.

And the competition for best dressed star at the Grammys was equally as fierce.

As always, the pressure is intense to select something that’s, as Fergie would say, G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S, but still cool enough to stand out on a carpet that’s featured everything from Jennifer Lopez’s famed cut-to-there Versace to Lil Nas X’s pink Versace cowboy suit.

So Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX and Billie brought the heat in vintage Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier and Prada respectively.

As for Cynthia Erivo, she was looking for something out of this world for her performance.

“I always say that I kind of love looking a little bit like an alien,” she explained on Live From E! of creating her custom Louis Vuitton, “so I sort of wanted to dive deep into that. It’s really simple, but the structure and the way it feels is really special. So I love putting this dress on. It makes me feel very pretty.”

And, dare we say, popular? Check out how she and the rest of music’s big stars turned up the volume on the Grammys red carpet.
