The former spokesperson to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, has said that Buhari’s government made governance about personal integrity.
He recently documented the key achievements of Buhari’s eight-year tenure, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Speaking in Abuja while addressing journalists during a briefing on his new book titled “According to the President: Lessons from Presidential Spokespersons,” Shehu revealed that the book will serve as an important resource for students, media professionals, and public relations practitioners.
According to him, Buhari has always been a leader who wants his work to speak for him, and he deserves praise for doing everything humanly possible to improve the quality of life of Nigerian farmers, traders and youths.
He noted that PMB did not just strengthen the nation’s infrastructure; he also made it his priority to promote small businesses across the nation while he was in power.
Shehu concluded by saying that Buhari always worked towards positively affecting the life of the poor, and he achieved exactly that throughout his tenure as president.
“President Buhari wanted his work to speak for him, and he wanted it to be on the doorstep of the poor.
Buhari’s government made sincere efforts to improve the quality of life of farmers, youths, promoters of small businesses, and even traders, in addition to strengthening the nation’s infrastructure. Buhari’s government brought a culture of personal integrity into government,” he said.
