Dangote Cement Plc has honored its most dedicated distributors and customers with N15 billion in rewards, celebrating their loyalty and exceptional performance at the company’s 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night.
The event, hosted at Eko Convention Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together the company’s highest-performing partners under the theme “Partner for Growth.” Winners received cash prizes, cement containers, luxury SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks in recognition of their contributions to the business.
Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, described the distributors as the organization’s backbone, crediting them with ensuring products reach communities across Nigeria.
“Your commitment in the field and direct engagement with customers transform our vision into real results. This celebration marks the beginning of our growth journey for 2026,” he said.
Dangote outlined the company’s Vision 2030 strategy, targeting a transformation of Dangote Group into a $100 billion enterprise through industrial expansion, regional investments, and building Africa’s self-reliance in energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
The business magnate revealed ambitious expansion plans, including increasing cement production capacity to approximately 90 million tonnes by 2030—50 percent more than Saudi Arabia’s total output. Additional projects include expanding the petroleum refinery from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million bpd, increasing fertilizer production to 12 million metric tonnes annually, and boosting polypropylene plant output.
“Africa’s future belongs to Africans who refuse limits—people who dream big and believe in possibilities,” Dangote stated, emphasizing that the vision extends beyond factories to building Africa’s capacity for food security, economic power, human development, and sustainable industrialization.
Supporting this vision, the Aliko Dangote Foundation launched a N1 trillion ($600 million) education fund in December 2025, targeting over 1.3 million vulnerable Nigerian students with scholarships focusing on STEM, technical education, and girls’ schooling.
Emmanuel Ikazoboh, Board Chairman of Dangote Cement Plc, making his first official appearance in the role, announced that N9 billion in cash was distributed during the event, with some distributors receiving double payments for both volume and growth achievements.
“Beyond cash, we’re giving CNG-powered trucks, premium vehicles, and other gifts to recognize your exceptional commitment,” Ikazoboh said.
He disclosed investments in CNG-powered trucks, with plans to convert the entire fleet by end-2027, advancing logistics efficiency and environmental sustainability. The company also announced a new two-line, 6 million metric tonnes per annum cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, focused on exports, alongside expansion at its Côte d’Ivoire grinding facility.
“Your dedication maintains our nationwide product visibility and availability. We’re committed to helping your businesses grow stronger and more profitable,” Ikazoboh told the distributors.
