President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu have extended warm congratulations to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), as the revered clergyman marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026.
In a joint tribute released on Sunday, the President and First Lady described Pastor Adeboye — popularly known as Daddy G.O. — as “one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts,” praising his decades of spiritual leadership, humility, and deep wisdom that have left an enduring mark on the nation and beyond.
The First Couple acknowledged that the renowned cleric’s influence stretches far beyond the pulpit, highlighting his significant contributions to philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment across the country.
“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon his life,” the statement read, as the Tinubus joined Pastor Adeboye’s wife, Pastor Foluke, members of the RCCG, and the wider Christian community in giving thanks to God for the clergyman’s impactful life.
President Tinubu also commended Pastor Adeboye’s patriotic commitment to Nigeria’s progress, noting his unceasing prayers for the nation and his over five decades of transformative teaching that continues to shape generations across cultures and borders.
The tribute concluded with a prayer that God grant the celebrated clergyman continued good health and strength as he presses on in his ministry.
