Customers of Union Bank of Nigeria have voiced growing frustration over repeated failed transactions and delayed refunds on the bank’s mobile banking platform.
Many users report that transfers initiated through the app are debited from their accounts but never reach the intended recipients, leaving them stranded without access to their funds.
One customer, Micah, shared his ordeal after attempting to transfer ₦500,000 to an account with Guaranty Trust Bank. Although the money was deducted from his account, the transaction reportedly failed to go through.
He initially contacted the bank, providing transaction details and seeking assistance. While the bank acknowledged his complaint and promised a resolution, the situation remained unresolved after 24 hours.
“I still haven’t received the refund even after 24 hours. My business depends on this money,” he said, expressing concern over the delay.
As similar complaints continue to emerge online, affected customers are urging the bank to fix the technical glitches and speed up its response process to avoid further financial disruptions.
