Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has declared that the country remains resolute in seeking retaliation for the killing of his father, as well as justice for those who lost their lives during the conflict.
In a statement released following the announcement of a ceasefire, Khamenei emphasized that Iran would not back down from its position, insisting that the nation is committed to defending its rights and interests.
He also hinted at significant changes in Iran’s approach to the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that its management could enter a “new phase” amid evolving regional dynamics.
According to him, Iran does not seek further escalation but will continue to stand firm alongside its allies, describing the broader resistance movement as a unified front.
Khamenei further stressed that Iran intends to pursue compensation for damages suffered during the war, including reparations for victims and the wounded, underscoring the country’s determination to hold those responsible accountable.
