Achraf Hakimi Says Arsenal Should Expect A Special UCL Night In Paris

PSG defender, Achraf Hakimi, has warned Arsenal to be ready for an incredible atmosphere in their UCL semi-final second leg tonight.

Recall that Paris Saint-Germain already defeated Manchester City and Aston Villa at Parc des Princes this season, and while they eventually lost to Liverpool in a 1-0 defeat, the French champions completely dominated the game.

Speaking during an interview with the press, Hakimi revealed that the home support will be absolutely key to his club’s chances of defending their 1-0 aggregate lead and beating Arsenal.

According to him, PSG supporters must ensure they deliver the kind of atmosphere that will guarantee a very special UCL night for PSG, because their support can more than push him and his teammates to go all the way to Munich.

Hakimi believes that the same atmosphere the fans created vs Manchester City, when PSG came back from behind to win in style, would be needed at the stadium to get a favourable result vs a very compact Arsenal side.

“It will be a very special night in Paris. The atmosphere will be insane and everybody will be behind us inside and outside the stadium. We need them to support us until the end. It will be a crazy atmosphere and the pressure will be important. Against Manchester City, for example, we were down and behind in the game and they helped us overturn that,” he said.

The Moroccan RB stated that the supporters are fully aware of how hard the team worked to reach the semis, so they have to come through with their voices and chants to intimidate the opponent at the Parc des Princes.

“The fans know how hard we have worked to get here, how far we have come and we want to do it for them,” he added.

Arsenal and PSG will give everything to secure a spot in the Munich showdown showdown on 31st of May. After tonight’s game, Luis Enrique’s team will have 2 more Ligue 1 matches to round off their title-winning campaign in France, while the Gunners will have to work extra hard to seal their qualification for UCL football next season.

Mikel Arteta’s boys currently sit 6 points clear of sixth position with just three English Premier League matches left to play.
