The people of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) have urged Comrade Aliyu Ak Balarabe to contest for the position of Chairman, MMC, under the banner of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP).
The youths and elders across the wards of MMC recently described Aliyu Ak Balarabe as one of Borno State’s most charismatic and visionary sons.
Speaking to via a press statement, Haruna Aji Damisa revealed that Comrade Aliyu has consistently fought for the people of Maiduguri with unwavering commitment and courage.
According to him, the united call should be seen as a heartfelt plea borne out of the people’s desire to experience youth-driven leadership, and not only a political request.
He stated that the city deserves a leader like Comrade Aliyu Ak Balarabe, who will understand the challenges of the people and speak their language.
Emphasizing that Aliyu’s record in youth mobilization and grassroots development is impeccable, Haruna stressed that his outstanding understanding of urban geography and public engagement makes him the ideal man to transform the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
He concluded by saying that no voice should be silent in Maiduguri as the people lead a positive movement for decisive change.
