The All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State has rolled out an electronic membership registration system designed to modernize its records and bolster party organization ahead of future elections.
State party chairman Alhaji Sadiq Achida announced the initiative during a meeting with executives and local government chairmen at the APC Secretariat in Sokoto, emphasizing the system’s role in creating accurate, duplicate-free membership data.
Achida described the digital platform as essential for improving internal coordination and electoral preparedness, calling on all members to register and confirm their status within the party structure.
The registration will span all 23 local government areas, with trained personnel assigned to facilitate the process. Senior party figures including Senator Aliyu Magatarkada Wamakko and Governor Ahmed Aliyu have already been enrolled as the platform’s first registered members.
The chairman noted that the exercise supports the APC’s national push toward digital membership management, enabling current members to update their information while welcoming new registrants.
Party officials expressed optimism that the electronic system will strengthen cohesion and operational efficiency within Sokoto’s APC chapter.
