Business executive and philanthropist, Bella Disu (Nee Adenuga) has shared key secrets that fuel her drive to make a strong mark in life. Last month, Bella was named one of the 80 Women Making Impact in Nigeria by Arise News @arisenewsofficial for her remarkable efforts.
Receiving the honour days back, she said since the announcement in March, “I’ve taken time to reflect, not just on the recognition, but on the actions, values, and quiet moments that led me here. It comes down to a few truths I hold dear:
1. Leave people and situations better than you found them.
2. Be consistent in doing your best, knowing you’re accountable not just to yourself, but to others who are watching or relying on you.
3. When others see calm, I often carry the weight of questions that keep me up at night: “Bella, how can you help? What can you build? Where can you spark change or growth?” That inner charge, those restless thoughts, are what push me forward, even when the world assumes it all comes easily.
People sometimes think I’m being modest when I say, “I never thought it would be me,” but it’s true – I grew up with insecurities and have done the work to find my voice and grow into the spaces I now occupy.”
Bella expressed deep gratitude for the privilege, opportunities, and tutelage received – especially from my father, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., whose belief she said has shaped so much of her journey.
