The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has set August 1, 2026, as the deadline for companies to comply with statutory rules governing business letters, warning that violators will face sanctions. In a public notice issued Wednesday, the commission said the enforcement drive is anchored on Sections 304(1) and (2) and 729(1)(c) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, and covers all companies registered under the Act or any law it replaced. The law requires every company to state on its business letters the current and any former forename or initials and surname of each director, along with the nationality of non-Nigerian directors. Companies must also display their registered name, registration number and registered office address clearly on all business correspondence. “Commencing the 1st day of August 2026, the Commission shall enforce the full application of the requirements of Sections 304(1) & (2) and 729(1)(c) of the Act with respect to company business letters with attendant sanctions for non-compliance,” the CAC said. The commission urged companies to review their letterheads and official correspondence ahead of the deadline, noting that the move is designed to ensure accurate disclosure of director and corporate information while deepening compliance with CAMA 2020. CAC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability and customer satisfaction as part of efforts to build a more resilient and responsive corporate regulatory environment.

In October 2022, IVD lost his wife, Bimbo, in a fire accident in their home in Lagos state. He was accused by Bimbo’s family of physically and emotionally abusing her while they were married. He was dragged online and blamed for her de@th. He was even arraigned in court by the Lagos state government following the controversial circumstances surrounding Bimbo’s demise.

While IVD received backlash online, Blessing came out to defend.

Blessing was even sent to prison in March 2023 for alleged cyber-bullying over her involvement in IVD and late Bimbo’s case. She however gained her freedom in April 2023.

It appears IVD and Blessing went from being friends during that period to lovers.

In a post shared on her page, Blessing said she is ready to honor and submit to IVD. The mum of two said she doesn’t care about his past. She wrote;

‘’It’s been 3 years of knowing you .

I remember when you just said thank you via DM and I said it’s just my opinion, then you wanted to hurt yourself and I ran to you, watched you for 7 hours to know you will be fine .

The day I stepped my leg inside prison for wetin I no know that was the when I decided to know you .. I am glad I never even knew you before because you had the title married man, I am happy I met you in your times of trouble and I said to you, Ikechukwu Darry ogbonna I will hold your hands and we walk through together. They tried and still trying but they don’t know that I am very stubborn with love. Ask my mama .

I don’t care about your past oooo, the man I met is a sweet soul . Nobody knows my emotional side, I hide that part from the media .

But you see you IVD ,

I will honor you .

I will submit to you .

I will respect you .

Love you and most important teach you everything they say you did not know .

For the first time let the world see me love a MAN so right .

The world thinks I am incapable of loving a MAN because I have built walls and set boundaries but with you Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna I will bend all my rules and break the boundaries. Don’t let me down .

If the love is not tough then it’s not love …. IVD x BCEO

It’s going to be a movie..

Happy new year boo boo .”

This comes hours after IVD also took to his Ig page to appreciate her.
