Renowned broadcaster Reuben Abati marked his 58th birthday with a sense of contentment, sharing his thoughts and aspirations on social media.
In a social media post on Tuesday, Mr. Abati expressed his happiness, saying, “+1 today! I’m at a happy place!! A new year, a new dawn, and a new chapter in my life. Thankful to the creator and the controller of my journey.”
As he celebrated, the Arise TV anchor couldn’t help but reflect on the current state of his country, Nigeria. He shared his hope for a better Nigeria with a thriving economy, emphasizing the importance of unity and prosperity for all.
“While I reflect on my new year, my mind is also occupied with the state of my fatherland. As a nationalist and journalist, a better Nigeria with a productive economy is what I hope for. As we continue to navigate recent challenges, we have to work together with the present administration for the good of our great nation. Belief in unity; belief in prosperity for all,” Abati stated.
This special occasion follows the birthday celebration of his wife, Kikelomo Atanda-Owo, who recently turned a year older. Abati conveyed his heartfelt sentiments for his wife on social media.
To mark the occasion, the family hosted a party at The Red Restaurant, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event was attended by notable figures, including former Super Eagles player Segun Odegbami and actor Bolanle Ninalowo.
