Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said that he would use twenty days to show Nigerians what Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has done in the educational sector in Abuja. He recently revealed that citizens who act like social media presidents will be shocked when he unpacks what BAT has done to aid education in the FCT.
Speaking during the commissioning of the newly provided Engineering Infrastructure in Wuye District, Wike said that those saying the current government is focusing on infrastructure in Abuja are very wrong.
According to him, while it is true that Tinubu wants the network of Abuja roads to improve during his tenure, it is not true that the education sector has been neglected.
“We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show social media president what we have done in the education sector. So we are not going to rush.
We are not going to rush, we are going to shock them with what we have done in the education sector, so that they will know that President Tinubu’s administration is not only concentrating on the infrastructure in the FCT, as regards the network of roads, it is also focusing on the education sector,” he said.
Wike further noted that a break will be needed after several commissionings of infrastructure projects.
He concluded by saying that the rest is key ahead of the mission to flaunt the amazing educational strides recorded in Abuja under the present government.
“I have told the chief of staff, we are going to end our flag off, our commissioning, at least for today.
20 days is not two days, so we will take a rest and come back and focus on education,” he added.
