The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has come out to mourn the death of former president Muhammadu Buhari.
The group recently expressed deep sorrow over PMB’s demise, describing him as a “pillar during Nigeria’s most defining moments.”
Speaking via a press statement signed by its spokesperson, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, revealed that Buhari’s sacrifice and leadership will remain a part of the country’s political history till the end of time.
CNG urged Nigerian leaders to use the latest development to reflect on the transient nature of life and power, stressing the need for them to dedicate themselves to governance rooted in justice and service.
“His contributions, sacrifices, and leadership—though subject to the judgments of history—will forever be a part of Nigeria’s national narrative,” it read.
Also speaking, the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu said that the death of the ex-president is not only a loss to Nigeria, but also to the global community.
He concluded by highlighting Buhari’s hatred for indiscipline, calling on citizens to learn from the deceased and rededicate themselves to nation-building.
“President Buhari’s legacies—both as Head of State and as a two-term President—will undoubtedly inspire future generations,” he added.
