The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, will hold a summit with stakeholders in the revenue collection system in the local government on Tuesday.
The summit will address the operations of the local government revenue committees, efficient revenue collection in the informal sector, and collaboration between the LIRS and local governments to harmonize taxes for taxpayers’ convenience.

Other lead presenters at the summit are Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs.Kikelomo Abolarin; LIRS Director, Informal Taxation and Special Duties, Ms. Folashade Coker; and LIRS Revenue Manager, Mr.Segun Tijani.
The brainstorming session will feature chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Hon.Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon Kamal Baiyewu, Chairman of the Committee of Council Managers, Mr.S.A.Olujobi, Chairman of Committee of Council Treasurers, Mr.A.A.Adebiyi Chairman,Committee of Human Resources Officers, Mr.Isiaka Ijaile and chairmen of Local Government Revenue Committees.
The summit, which is held at Osun Hall of the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, is strictly by invitation.
