The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) has paid glowing tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The group recently described PMB’s death as the loss of a national icon and a symbol of Northern pride.
Speaking via a press statement by the Speaker of AYA, Muhammad Salihu Danlami, AYA revealed that Nigeria has lost a leader and a mentor, stressing that his demise marks the end of an era.
According to the group, Muhammadu deserves praise for transforming Nigeria and achieving more than 75% of his manifesto after he was elected president.
Salihu stated that the nation is saying goodbye to an irreplaceable figure who is the most accomplished Northerner Nigeria has ever seen.
“We have lost an irreplaceable figure. He was the most accomplished Northerner in terms of positions held, integrity, charisma, and fear of God.
In all, his presidency achieved over 75% of his manifesto and the change mantra around which he campaigned,” he said.
He further hailed the deceased for his commitment to national development, highlighting his efforts to reduce poverty and fight terrorism.
AYA concluded by praising the late Buhari for initiating reforms that improved the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
“Life was much easier under his presidency. We thank him for the support he gave Nigerians and for his passion for national development.
We pray Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings here on earth. He should rest well till we meet to part no more. Adieu, Baba.” he added.
