Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Gbenga Daniel, and several prominent political and business leaders on Saturday gathered in Lagos to honour former Minister of Special Duties, Chief Yomi Edu, as he marked his 80th birthday.
The high-profile celebration took place at the Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, and attracted an array of dignitaries drawn from Nigeria’s political, corporate, and social circles.
Among those in attendance were former Ogun State governor and senator, Gbenga Daniel; former Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed; business leader Oba Otudeko; Chief Funlola Okunowo; and other associates of the celebrant.
Chief Yomi Edu, who previously served as Minister of Special Duties, was celebrated for his decades of contributions to public administration and national development. Guests at the event paid tributes to his long-standing role in governance and his influence across public and private sectors.
