Adamawa State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmadu Fintiri, has been declared winner in the supplementary polls held in the state, ahead of his main rival, Aishatu ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fintiri scored 430,869 votes to defeat his closest challenger and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aisha Ahmed Binani, who scored 398,788 votes.

The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Mohammed Mele, is expected to formally declare the incumbent Governor Fintiri, who was first elected governor in 2019, as the winner of the election after the ongoing formalities.
