Former President Olusegun Obasanjo hosted an exclusive dinner at The Delborough Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, bringing together Nigeria’s political, business, and traditional elite to mark his 88th birthday.
The high-profile celebration attracted former leaders, including ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President Goodluck Jonathan accompanied by his wife Patience, and former Sierra Leonean President Ernest Bai Koroma.
Traditional royalty was represented by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, while political figures such as former Senate President Bukola Saraki and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo joined the festivities. Business magnate Razaq Okoya and economic policy expert Obiageli Ezekwesili were also in attendance.
The entertainment industry made its presence felt with celebrities including Obi Cubana, E-Money, Cubana Chief Priest, Vintage, and musician KCee joining the celebration.
The dinner was part of a series of events organized in Lagos and Abeokuta to commemorate Obasanjo’s milestone birthday. Many attendees shared moments from the gathering on social media, with Atiku noting, “I joined others at the dinner hosted by my former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, in Lagos.”
