Popular singer Cassie has urged a federal judge to impose a heavy sentence on Sean “Diddy” Combs for his many crimes. Cassie recently told the court that she is permanently scarred by several years of violence and coercive sex acts during their 11-year relationship.
In a letter she wrote to Judge Arun Subramanian ahead of Diddy’s sentencing on Friday, October 3, she insisted that she was groomed, manipulated, and subjected to disturbing abuse while they were still together.
According to her, she felt completely trapped as Diddy repeatedly used threats and drugs to control both her personal life and her career for many years.
She stated that Diddy went as far as threatening to leak previous recordings of her sex acts with male escorts if she ever decides to stop “performing.”
Cassie further referenced the 2016 beating she endured from Diddy at Los Angeles’ Intercontinental Hotel, caught on surveillance footage, stressing that she lived in constant fear when she was still under his control.
She concluded by saying that if Diddy is freed, he might target her and everyone who tried to send him to jail for a long time.
“I was always in a state of hypervigilance while anticipating demands for sex or otherwise fear of retribution.
I’m so scared that if Diddy walks free, his first actions will be swift retribution towards me and others who spoke up about his abuse at trial,” she wrote.
