Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has declared she will no longer greet her colleague Funke Akindele, following a tense encounter at a recent movie premiere.
The incident, captured in a viral video, occurred at an event hosted by Iyabo Ojo, where Funke, Iyabo, and Mercy Aigbe were seated together. Toyin approached the table to greet them, but while Iyabo and Mercy responded warmly, Funke reportedly ignored Toyin, turning her face away, which left the actress visibly embarrassed.
In response to the video circulating online, Toyin commented on a blog, stating that she had already unfollowed Funke on social media and would not attempt any further greetings. “I have unfollowed her, God forbid bad thing. If I ever greet her again, that means I am a bastard,” she wrote, though she later deleted the comment.
The incident has sparked debates on social media, with some users defending Funke’s reaction due to prior disagreements involving filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, while others criticized the public display, suggesting it could have been handled more gracefully.
