The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has put on hold the planned marriage of his 21-year-old adopted autistic daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor, after receiving an overwhelming number of marriage proposals.
In a post shared on Facebook, the cleric revealed that more than 1,000 men had indicated interest in marrying her, prompting him to suspend the process until further notice.
“Chiemeka Chibuzor’s wedding is hereby suspended,” he stated, adding that no further steps would be taken pending new directives.
Earlier, the pastor had publicly called for suitors, offering a range of incentives to encourage interest. These included lifetime financial support, free accommodation, and a jointly owned property for the couple. He also stipulated that applicants must be young and physically and mentally fit.
In addition, he noted that representatives from his ministry would conduct periodic, unannounced visits to ensure the woman’s well-being after marriage.
The development follows a similar initiative by the cleric, who recently facilitated the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man, popularly known as Aboy, to an older woman. The ceremony, held on March 29, drew widespread public attention.
