Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, as the presidential campaign coordinator of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, Adeniran will also serve as the Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council in the state.
The statement further named former Oyo East Local Government Chairman, Mr. Saheed Arowosaye, as the deputy presidential campaign coordinator, while the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Demola Ojo, will serve as the Deputy Director-General (South) of the campaign council.
The APM has nominated Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Finance during the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Oyo State.
Olanrewaju also disclosed that Governor Makinde, who is the APM’s presidential candidate, will officially inaugurate the campaign council on Friday at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan
the inauguration marks the commencement of the party’s campaign structure in Oyo State as preparations intensify for the 2027 polls.
