Ogun, Six Other States Excluded From FG’s N45bn COVID-19 Reimbursement
Minister of State for Budget and National Planning and the Chairman of the Federal Cares Steering Committee, Clem Agba, has disclosed that Ogun State and six other states were disqualified from benefitting from the Federal Government’s N45.3 billion Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme (NG-Cares).

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that other six states apart from Ogun were; Benue, Ebonyi, Kogi, Taraba, Enugu, and Imo following their failure to meet up with the conditions for getting the reimbursement
The minister announced in Abuja saying, only 29 States and the Federal Capital Territory, were able to meet the conditions for getting the reimbursement.
The N45.3 billion COVID-19 Stimulus package was released to State Governments to mitigate their expenses at the height of the pandemic.
“The seven States did not get reimbursement from the Federal Government because they could not repay the advance.
“They did not earn any results in the first round so they did not qualify for any reimbursement.”
