Raff Military Textile has expressed optimism about its business prospects in Nigeria following a series of meetings and engagements with potential business partners at the ongoing Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX) 2026 in Lagos.
The Turkish defence textile company is using the exhibition to strengthen its presence in the Nigerian market, establish new business relationships and explore opportunities for long-term partnerships within the country’s defence and security industry.
AFRIDEX 2026 is taking place at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, from October 25 to 30, bringing together major stakeholders in the defence and security sectors, government representatives, international companies and industry experts from across Africa and beyond.
During the exhibition, Raff Military Textile has been holding business meetings, engaging government officials and discussing possible areas of cooperation with prospective Nigerian partners.
The discussions are aimed at understanding the needs of the Nigerian market, identifying potential business opportunities and building relationships that could support the company’s long-term commercial interests in the country.
Speaking on the company’s experience at the exhibition, the Chief Executive Officer of Raff Military Textile, Eray Yükseloğlu, described the engagements in Nigeria as encouraging.
He said the positive response received so far, alongside the meetings and connections established, had strengthened the company’s confidence in the opportunities available in the Nigerian market.
According to him, Raff Military Textile sees considerable potential for cooperation in Nigeria and is committed to building on the relationships being developed during the exhibition.
The CEO also emphasised the importance of direct engagement with local stakeholders in expanding the company’s international business operations.
He noted that although exhibitions provide valuable platforms for companies to meet industry players, achieving sustainable business growth requires continuous engagement, a proper understanding of local market demands and the development of trusted business relationships.
Raff Military Textile explained that its participation in AFRIDEX 2026 forms part of its broader strategy to expand its international presence and establish stronger commercial connections in Nigeria.
The company intends to continue exploring partnership opportunities and strengthening its engagement with stakeholders in the Nigerian defence industry beyond the exhibition.
With AFRIDEX 2026 scheduled to end on October 30, Raff Military Textile remains focused on turning the promising discussions and business connections established at the event into concrete opportunities for future cooperation.
The company’s positive assessment of its experience at the exhibition highlights its growing interest in Nigeria as an important market for its international business expansion.
