The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom, has assumed the position of the party’s Acting National Chairman.
Giadom on Wednesday, June 17, challenged the appointment of former Oyo governor, Abiola Ajimobi as the party's acting chairman.
In his first duty as acting chairman, Giadom cancelled the screening for the Edo State governorship primary that disqualified Governor Godwin Obaseki for having a defective Higher School Leaving Certificate (HSC).
Giadom explained that he has taken over based on a previous court order empowering him to do so.
According to him, he has the backing of the members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
