Popular Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy has made another history by headlining a sold-out show at the iconic Stade De France in Paris. The “On The Low” crooner recently dazzled a huge crowd of more than 80,698 people at the filled-up stadium by delivering superb performances of some of the best Afrobeats records ever.
As the first African singer to ever headline at Stade De France, Burna more than sealed his status as one of the leading talents whose music is catching the attention of the global audience. It also proved his undisputed popularity in the French country where his best songs have earned various certifications.
The experience started with a brilliant performance from Nissi and Fireboy DML, who got fans excited with their popular single, “Nobody.” Their dance moves and vocal delivery stunned the crowd greatly, and music fans couldn’t resist praising the duo on social media.
But as soon as Burna Boy climbed the stage, all hell broke loose, as Outsiders in France enjoyed a superb music experience that included some of Damini’s biggest tracks that flaunted his unique storytelling and applaudable stage presence.
Odogwu also shocked the crowd by bringing out Shallipopi, and the duo seized the moment to perform a remix of the Benin singer’s viral song, “Laho,” which definitely set social media on fire across Nigeria.
Other household names like Joé Dwèt Filé and Dadju also did their bit to get the crowd dancing and singing as the former delivered a memorable performance of his hit collaboration with the African giant, “4KampeII,” while the latter raised the energy of the French audience with the rendition of his singles. By the time UK rapper, Dave appeared on stage with Burna to perform his hit record, “Location,” fans already concluded they were having the time of their lives.
Every artist added their own unique flavour to the musical experience, and it proved Burna Boy’s global success and quality connections in different music industries across the globe. On top of that, the unforgettable night in Paris was a celebration of Afrobeats’ growth, global unity, and music without borders.
Despite his many controversies and drama-filled public statements, the Grammy award winner has shown that he will not stop breaking boundaries and setting records with his special art, and his headline performance will serve as yet another reminder that he’ll continue to be a musical force to reckon with for a very long time.
