Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Naija Times, Mr. Ehi Braimah, has been named Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator (ARPIC) for the 2025-2026 Rotary year in Africa’s Region 27.
Rotary International recently announced Ehi Braimah as one of the 5 Africans who have been selected for the important role as coordinators.
Announcing the appointment via an official press release, Rotary Public Image Coordinator (2023-2026), Tamunoibim Semenitari, congratulated the incoming ARPICs and urged them to attend the upcoming Regional Team Learning Seminar (RTLS), set to take place from the 7 – 11th of May, 2025, in Ghana.
As Public Image Coordinators, they are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the organisation’s perception is never flawed. They will be in charge of managing branding, creating content, overseeing media engagements, and ensuring Rotary’s digital and offline platforms remain organised.
According to Michael Effiong James, Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator (RI Districts 9111, 9112 & 9126), it will also be their duty to teach members everything they should know about Rotary branding, managing crisis communication, and promoting community engagement.
Mr. Ehi Braimah, an ex-President of Rotary Club of Lagos (2018–2019) and present Assistant Governor in District 9112, has occupied various public image-related roles over the years, so he’ll definitely make good use of his impressive strategic communications experience to do justice to his new role.
Having served as District Secretary from 2021–2022 and chaired several district-level committees during his lifetime, there are no doubt about his qualification and readiness to hit the ground running.
As further proof that Braimah has what it takes to deliver in his new role, he is the Managing Director/CEO of a PR and marketing management company, Neo Media & Marketing, and he was recently honoured with the distinguished Chancellor’s Alumni Award by the University of Roehampton, London. He is also the Deputy National President of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, which explains why he is highly regarded as a public affairs commentator.
Region 27 consists of 9 Rotary districts across Anglophone West Africa and Egypt. And where it is located, Africa Zone 22, is one of Rotary International’s 34 zones across the globe. Africa Zone 22 is also divided into 3 regions – 26, 27, and 28.
The other privileged appointees for the honourable role include Rtn. Bassey Ekpenyong Bassey from Rotary Club of Uyo Urban, Rtn. Olubisi Abosede Yomi-Layinka from Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro, Rtn. Kwesi Nyan Kittoe from Rotary Club of Winneba, Ghana, and Rtn. Marwan Montasser from Rotary Club of Alexandria New Era, Egypt.
