Nigerian rapper and content creator, Chinedu, popularly known as Triple Pin, has shared his frightening experience after surviving the Enugu Air aircraft incident that occurred while landing at Benin Airport.
The entertainer, who was among the passengers on the flight, described the ordeal in a video posted on his Instagram page, saying the incident gave him a new appreciation for life.
According to Triple Pin, the aircraft encountered heavy rainfall during the flight, significantly reducing visibility. He said he was surprised the pilot continued the approach despite the poor weather conditions.
The rapper explained that as the aircraft prepared to land, it repeatedly circled the airport in what appeared to be an attempt to secure a safe landing. He claimed the pilot eventually lost control, causing the aircraft to veer off the runway and head toward nearby vegetation.
He recalled that panic spread among passengers as the plane left the runway, with many fearing the worst.
Triple Pin also expressed gratitude that the aircraft did not catch fire after the incident, attributing it to the heavy rainfall at the time.
Reflecting on the experience, he said the incident made him realize how close he came to losing his life and the dreams he still hopes to achieve.
“This is how these big dreams would have ended. Our plane crashed today. I only used to see incidents like this in movies and online. I never imagined I would experience one myself,” he said.
He added that the rain had made it difficult to see through the windows and that the aircraft kept circling before the landing attempt.
“When it was finally time to land, the pilot kept rotating in the air, looking for where to land. He kept circling until he lost control and the plane moved toward the bush. Suddenly, all I heard was loud noise, and everyone panicked,” he recounted.
Triple Pin said he escaped the incident without any injuries, adding that the experience has completely changed his outlook on life.
