The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has called on the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to be proactive in addressing the challenges facing the State saying that the State is towing towards lack of good governance.
This was contained in a statement issued by Publicity Secretary of NNPP Lagos, Hon. Richard Benson Echigbue, on Tuesday.
NNPP berates the high level of poverty in the State coupled with multiple taxes on the people which has attracted anarchical reactions from the citizens, saying that the government should wake up to its responsibilities of making life better for the people

NNPP said the incessant traffic in the state is due to multi faceted activities embarked upon by the state government which is an indication of lack of proper Planning on the side of the government thereby causing heavy traffic on the road due to multiple project and constructions on the major roads.
The Publicity Secretary also charge the state governor on the mis-conduct of he Lagos State Task Force ion repremanding the popular bike riders called OKADA is a clear indication that the government is not giving specific instructions to the LASTF
in carrying out their duties as their activities has endangered several lives even on the high way and need to be defined.
He also called the attention of the State Government to the sinarios that happened in MOWO in Badary saying that there is proper need for adequate security measures in Lagos. where citizens are being attacked by Bandits and herdsmen in the State which are clear indications that the State is becoming unsafe under the leadership of the APC l and Babajide Sanwo-Olu led government.
However, ,the NNPP also charged governor Sanwo-Olu on the recent dirt and refuse found everywhere on the street of Lagos, he said dirts and refuse are soon taking over the roads in Lagos as every road in the state will soon become dumping ground for refuse.
He concluded that drastic measures and actions need to be taken to prevent outbreak of diseases due to the refuse and dirts on the roads which can easily spread , he asked the government to ensure quick remedy to salvage the situation.
