The Federal Inland Revenue Service has launched a new podcast to boost the awareness of Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape.
The agency recently revealed that the podcast will break down tax matters for the average taxpayer to understand.
Speaking via a press statement, FIRS shared that the podcast, which would be hosted by Aderonke Bello, will serve as an educational platform to increase public understanding of its services and policies.
According to the Federal Inland Revenue Service, the topics discussed on the platform would focus on triggering a culture of responsible citizenship among Nigerians, while also creating more awareness on everything related to tax paying in Nigeria.
FIRS noted that every episode will offer a detailed break down of the operations of the FIRS, delivering insight into the agency’s strategic direction and the key role taxation plays in the development of our dear nation.
Announcing that the podcast will feature expert opinions from respected figures within and outside the Service, Aderonke Bello confirmed that the purpose of the show is to bridge the communication gap between the FIRS and the people.
“The Tax Advocacy Podcast is more than just a platform for information; it is a voice for transparency, clarity, and engagement. Our goal is to bridge the communication gap between the FIRS and the people, ensuring that every Nigerian understands how taxes work and why they matter,” she said.
This latest initiative definitely reiterates the FIRS’s unwavering commitment to innovation in public engagement and the promotion of tax awareness across all sectors.
