Saudi Aramco has launched its 50th retail fuel station in Pakistan. Its local partner, Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO), recently made the announcement, marking the Saudi energy firm’s fast-growing presence in the nation’s fuel retail market.
Recall that the company broke into Pakistan’s downstream sector in 2024 after purchasing a 40 per cent stake in GO, one of the country’s largest oil marketing companies.
The collaboration granted Saudi Aramco access to GO’s existing network of over 1,200 retail sites, triggering a fast rollout of Aramco-branded stations while Pakistan’s fuel consumption and transport infrastructure keep expanding.
The newly-established station, situated along Islamabad’s Srinagar Highway, is a part of the ongoing expansion.
Attending the inauguration ceremony, senior management and industry officials hailed the decision as a major step towards expanding retail fuel access along major transport corridors.
“Beyond expanding its network, the Aramco new station contributes to the creation of employment opportunities, local skill development, and economic activity in the surrounding community.
Each new outlet supports operational staff, customer service teams, and supply chain partners, reinforcing the broader socio-economic impact of the investment,” Saudi Aramco said in a press statement.
The company unveiled its first retail outlet in Lahore last year and now operates 50 stations across several provinces.
GO is currently responsible for network operations, petrol distribution and logistics, while Saudi Aramco offers brand standards, product specifications and retail experience protocols.
“This growth demonstrates the company’s dedication to delivering modern fuelling experiences while actively contributing to Pakistan’s economic development and providing both jobs and infrastructure that benefit local communities,” it added.
