Zenith Bank Plc is set to celebrate the 2026 International Women’s Day by hosting its annual seminar aimed at advancing leadership, ownership, and collective growth among women. The event is scheduled for Monday, March 9, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The seminar aligns with the global theme “Give to Gain,” emphasizing that sustainable progress is achieved when institutions intentionally invest in women. Zenith Bank’s local theme for this year, “Take It, You Own It,” encourages women to seize opportunities, assert their value, and lead confidently, complementing the support provided by institutions.
Building on the success of previous editions, including 2025’s “Winning On All Fronts,” the 2026 seminar is designed to foster meaningful discussions on women’s empowerment, leadership, and sustainable impact. It will bring together accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents across sectors such as business, governance, technology, creative industries, and social impact.
Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, Group Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank, will deliver the welcome address. She stated, “International Women’s Day reminds us that progress requires intentional action. ‘Give to Gain’ underscores the responsibility of institutions to create real opportunities, while our theme, ‘Take It, You Own It,’ challenges women to step forward boldly and lead. At Zenith Bank, we are committed to creating environments where women thrive and drive impact both within our institution and across the communities we serve.”
The seminar programme includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and creative interludes focused on leadership, professional empowerment, wellbeing, and collaboration. By combining institutional support with proactive engagement, Zenith Bank aims to inspire women to claim their space, amplify their potential, and contribute to the growth of broader ecosystems.
Through this initiative, Zenith Bank reinforces its commitment to fostering inclusive platforms where women’s contributions are recognized, nurtured, and fully owned.
