Nollywood actor Efa Iwara has said that he was born a stammerer.
He recently revealed that the condition actually held him back from a career in entertainment.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on #WithChude, Efa disclosed that his speech impediment was so serious when he was much younger that his elder brother had to coach him out of it.
According to him, his brother taught him to breathe easy and think words through before saying them, a training that eventually helped him overcome his speech difficulty.
“I was born a stammerer.
He’d tell me, ‘Take your time, breathe, think about what you want to say before you say it,’” he said.
The movie star further hailed “King of Boys” director Kemi Adetiba for her creativity and resilience in the Nollywood industry.
Appreciating Kemi for her zeal and determination with different projects, Efa stressed that any working experience with her is always memorable.
“Her energy, her drive, is enviable. And her creativity is out of this world.
It was magical,” he added.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has responded to a fan who criticized her wicked role in Wumi Toriola’s newly released movie, “Konge 3 (The Final Saga).”
The fan, who wasn’t happy with Mosun’s character in the film, took to her Instagram page to voice his concern.
According to her, Nigerian fans should never forget that a movie is always make-believe, and no professional actor deserves to be hated in real life for a role he or she portrayed in a film.
Reiterating that she was only following the script, Filani stated that the same fans would criticize her performance if she didn’t do justice to the role.
“Haaaa. Na movie o, if I no act well, na una go complain. I did a good job, now una don dey hate me.
