Veteran Nollywood actor, Opebe, has broken his silence over his recent absence from the public eye, revealing that he has been battling an illness.
The actor made this known during an interview with fellow actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afod, where he opened up about his health and addressed speculations surrounding his disappearance from the industry.
According to Opebe, he has been sick for some time, but contrary to rumours making the rounds, his wife did not deliberately hide him from his colleagues.
The veteran actor explained that his health challenges were responsible for his reduced visibility and limited interaction with people within the Nigerian film industry.
His clarification comes amid growing concern from fans and colleagues who had noticed his absence and wondered about his wellbeing.
Speaking with Kunle Afod, Opebe used the opportunity to set the record straight, stressing that the situation was not a case of his wife preventing his colleagues from seeing him.
The interview has since attracted attention from fans of the veteran actor, with many expressing relief that he has finally spoken publicly about his condition.
Opebe remains a respected figure in the Nigerian movie industry, having contributed to Nollywood through his years of acting and entertainment.
Fans and well-wishers have continued to send their love and prayers to the veteran actor, wishing him strength, recovery and better health.
