Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about his university days, revealing that his inability to cook once influenced the way he approached relationships.
The actor made the disclosure during an appearance on the Lahor Podcast, where he spoke about his experience with cooking, dating and life as a student.
Jim Iyke admitted that cooking was one skill he struggled with while in university. According to him, he would often pursue relationships with women who could prepare meals for him.
He explained that he would regularly approach different women and become romantically involved with them, with cooking being one of the reasons behind his interest.
The actor said that after the women prepared meals for him, he would end the relationships.
Jim Iyke recalled that the practice continued for a while until he was eventually caught. He said the incident quickly became known within his department and affected his chances with other women.
According to the actor, the women in his department became aware of his pattern and stopped accepting his advances.
Speaking humorously about the experience, Jim Iyke said:
“The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking. In university, I used to toast girls every week so they could cook for me. Once she finished cooking, I’d break up with her. The day I was caught, the whole department stopped giving me a chance.”
The actor’s revelation drew laughter as he reflected on the unusual approach he adopted during his university years.
